Digital Kitchen Scale
Weigh flour and butter the way bakery recipes intend.
Why I use it: Essential for croissants, brioche, and bread β cups lie, grams donβt.
Welcome to my kitchen
Hi, I'm Bree! This is where I share the dishes I make for the people I love β along with the memories, mishaps, and little moments that happen along the way.
Fresh from the kitchen
Buttery, flaky homemade croissants β a weekend baking project with a golden, shatteringly crisp exterior and a soft, layered crumb.

Crispy-edged pizza made in a skillet β no oven stone needed, just a hot pan and simple toppings.

A classic red velvet layer cake with cocoa, buttermilk, and cream cheese frosting β soft, striking, and made for celebrations.
Stories from my kitchen and beyond
After we lost our parents, Salma and I were separated. Living with my cousin was the hardest β scholarship applications, learning to clean and cook, working between school, and watching Salma get expelled until she finally seemed to figure things out.
Salma was with Mum when she died. I was in boarding school and didn't hear until a day later. After the burial Salma wouldn't go home β and when Dad died, it was just the two of us in the hospital.

Baking and cooking gear I actually use
Weigh flour and butter the way bakery recipes intend.
Why I use it: Essential for croissants, brioche, and bread β cups lie, grams donβt.
A set of sturdy bowls for doughs, batters, and mise en place.
Why I use it: Every bake starts here β banana bread, red velvet, pizza dough.
Sheet pans that donβt warp when the oven gets hot.
Why I use it: Croissants, roasted veggies, and cookies all need a reliable tray.
I started this blog to share the food I love making β and the people and moments that inspire each dish. Pull up a chair and stay awhile.
